Liberator pilot Lt. C P "Charlie" Nel tribute page

Charlie was a founder member of SAAF No. 31 squadron equipped with B-24 Liberator aircraft. Charlie survived 21 operations, included a dreaded sortie to Warsaw, but was killed together with his crew in a flying accident over the Italian Alps in 1944. See his tribute page HERE.
