41 SQUADRON

41 Squadron

Names listed here are only for the Sqdn’s ‘fighter’ period, circa 9.42-31.10.44. Note that later fighter pilots such as Tweedie and Wildsmith served with 41 in its early days as a TacR unit. Pilots with this unit also flew the Hartbees with which the Sqdn had originally been equipped (in 1940), during the start of the fighter period 9/10.42-2.43 as the unit continued to fly army co-operation tasks (TacR), as well as fighters, until 2.43.
